Hello mateys
I have a problem connecting my circuit with a trasformer,The Input voltage to be 12 0 12 V,The expected output voltage is 230v ac but Iam not able to find a suitable transformer,I also need a center tap at the primary winding, what I'm preparing is an inverter and the circuit of the inverter is shown below in the link.

Hello,
You are looking for a center tap in the primary coil correct?
What I would suggest is grabbing the 1p2s transformer and flipping it (this should give you the same functionality as a primary split coil with a center tap). But you need to add this center tap, and so you have to connect the two transformers. This should provide the functionality you are looking for.
Kind regards,

Hi Miguel,
Thought this query would be never dealt with.
Thanks for the solution,I will use your logic in my simulation and let you know If its working.
Best.

How exactly do we connect the transformer you've shown?
The input is 12 and output being 230V,The winding ratio, transformer connections et al., are a bit confusing to me!
Please let me know
Thanks in Advance.

Hello,
Well it depends on your circuit. Based on your circuit that you showed me the center line (the tap) would connect to your switch, which should at some point join up with power from the source. The top and bottom reflect on your schematic (one side connected to R1 and T1, the other to R2 and T2).

Hi
Thanks for the reply but I knew about the circuit connections,
What I was asking was about the TRANSFORMER formation,I cannot find the specified transformer,Can you please elaborate on forming the transformer you've designed?
Thanks.

Hi,
Sorry I took this long to answer. The transformer part is a found under the Basic group under 1p2s (1 primary coil 2 secondary coils). It is a basic model that you can change in variation slightly, depeding on what you are looking for. It is not an actual transformer component but a virtual model of a perfect one. The connection I made was to connect two windings with an connection as a tap to whatever you'd want to plug in as this would mimic tho conter ta transformer in real life.
Here is a details on the transformers (You can always look up at our KB's to find information on Multisim components and topics).

For more information on transformers themselves here's a few pages I found online.
