Ultiboard 9 won't export separate Gerber layers

Solved!
Go to solution

I just modified a circuit that I had built earlier (this is revision 2) and when I tried to export it, each layer gave me the same file "xxx.gbr".  I tried all kinds of things, but always the same.  I finally changed the ending of each layer file to "xxx - copper top.gbr", "xxx - copper bottom.gbr", etc.  It mostly worked, but when I looked in the Gerber viewer, I couldn't find the drill files.  I might have gotten two of them mixed up as I was guessing which file came next.

I did download MultiSim 12 today and it wanted me to evaluate Ultiboard 12 (though I didn't).  I went ahead and took MultiSim 12 back off my computer, but it made no difference.  Any help would be appreciated.  I don't want to publicly attach my files, but would send them in private.

Hi,

Could you create a service request and we will get in contact with you once we receive it. That way we can review you circuits and help with your problem.

To give an update on this problem:

For medical reasons, I was sidetracked away from this issue for a few days.  Meanwhile it occurred to me that I should try to export from a previous design that had previously exported correctly.  This I did and that design did export as it was suppose to.  Next I went back to my problem design and now it exports correctly!  I don't have any answer for this other than possibly some internal switch was thrown that my old design corrected.  I don't know if the NI update service software upgrade had anything to do with this problem or not.
