Renumbering components multisim

In multisim suppose I put resistances by number R1,R2,R3,R4,R5.

Suppose I delete R2 in between.

Now I want to renumber my resistor so that instaed of R1,R3,R4,R5, schematic should have R1,r2,R3,R4.

Hi,

You can't renumber parts automatically in Multisim. Are you also using Ultiboard? If yes, you can renumber the parts in Ultiboard (Tools menu) and the Back Annotate the changes to Multisim.

Hi again,

I have been playing with Multisim and discovered a way to renumber components. Let's say that you have resistors R1, R3, R4 and R5. Go to Tools>>Advanced RefDes Configuration. Click on the RefDes setup button. Configure the RefDes Setup window as shown in the following figure:

Note that the RefDes prefix (R) will not be renamed.

Click OK.

Click the Renumber button.

Click OK.

Resistors will be renamed to R1, R2, R3 and R4.
