Need a spice model for lm337

dear staff,
I have a few problems. First I have looked everywhere for the spice model of the lm337.
It's an adjustable three terminal regulator that provides a negative voltage power source. I am troubleshooting a power supply that has no schematic what so ever (my employer bought 30 power supplies oversees from an unknown company). According to my schematic there are two full wave rectifiers each providing an unregulated voltage source to two regulators each. one is an lm317,the second one a 7905,the third is a7805, and the final one is an lm337. Without the spice model it will be vary hard to emulate the power supply and troubleshoot any possible errors the manufacturerers might have made. I've called various companies and my problem has yet to be solved.

Thank you

Here's my model from Multisim 2001. I don't know if it actually works as an adjustable regulator or not since I haven't used it before in the Simulator. I hope it work for you.

Just a side note. Your boss sounds like a boss I used to work for. Only a real dumba** would buy from an unknown overseas company to begin with. Then on top of that not get any schematics for the items he bought that makes him a double dumba**.

Why not send them back and make the manufacturer do their job over. If I paid money for something that doesn't work I surely wouldn't try to fix it myself. I would send it back under warranty and make them replace it or repair it.

Anyway, I just had to spout about how smart employers are. If employer intelligence was electricity we wouldn't be able to turn on a 10W light bulb.

Hey thanks Lacy,
I really appreciate your help.
It's not so much that she is dumba**.
More like a cheapa** trying to save money.
I don't think she can send them back.
The problem was that one of the students tried to get 30volts out of the supply (15v+ and 15-).
Some how the capacitors in the power supply blew up and She wanted to know why.
Your right, buy from a reputable company that  provides documentation, technical support, warrarnty.
Oh well I'm just a student worker (working on my associates in electrical engineering) I'm sure I'll be fine.

Just one other thing and I will leave you alone. I would like to know if the model worked for you. Let me know either way once you get it incorporated into your version and have had a chance to test it.

Hey lacy,
Thanks again for the LM337 spice model.
there is one problem though.
The values are off by a high percentage (more than 10%).

Hey Lacy,
I found a more acccurate LM337 spice model
once again I apprieciate your help.
I'll give you the subcircuit since you might need it some day.
Very accurate it's within two percent

Thanks for the feedback. My  model came from Multisim 2001 and is probably an older model. I am glad you were able to find a better model and I am really thankful that you would post it. I am also glad your project is coming along for you and I wish you all the luck in the world in solving your problem.
