Multi-pole, dual-throw relay in Multisim

[ Edited ]

Hello - I am new to Multisim and looking to simulate a multi-pole, dual-throw, single break relay.  I've played around with the available relay components in the Basic and Electro_mechanical groups.  There doesn't seem to be any way to cobble what I'm looking for together (e.g. DPDT).  I noticed that there are DPDT_SB switches that are manually controlled available in the SUPPLEMENTARY_CONTACTS family of the Electro_Mechanical Group.  Is there a way that one of these switches could be converted to be controlled by referencing a Control Coil?

For example, the type of circuit I'm looking to simulate is attached.

Thank you!

Re: Multi-pole, dual-throw relay in Multisim

Hi Dtmb,

The relays in Multisim were created using these parts. After you placed the switch on the work area and double click on it, you can set the voltage or

current when the switch toggles. You can use a Voltage or Current Controlled Switch to build you custom relay and you can find these parts in the Basic group under the Switch group.

Please have a look at the attached example to see an example how to create the custom relay.
