Hi All,
Having used LabVIEW very regularly since 2002, I finally bit the bullet and took the CLAD test last week. Now I am prepping for CLD.
One thread I read suggested making text icons for the top-level VI and the subVIs. When I took the core courses several years ago, the instructor discouraged using text-only icons and told us to make icons using graphics. Has NI changed their stance on that since I took the core courses? Which option is best for the CLD exam?
Thanks!

No, NI has not changed their stance. However, for the sake of the CLD exam, you need speed. If you can quickly find an icon that makes sense for your subVI, then go ahead. But text icons are a lot simpler and faster to do. Therefore, I recommend using text icons for the sake of the exam.
