check you dont have an antivirus with some sort of "on access scan."

Thanks Jesse,

 

It does have "On Access Scan".  Being at the customer site and not allowed to modify anything related to the anti-virus.  I will need to live with it.

 

Sorry... There is no "Accepted Solution" in Breakpoint.. 😞
