What countries most extensively use LabVIEW, NI products?

I know that the US is the country that uses LabVIEW the most.  What other countries do you think have a large number of LabVIEW developers/LabVIEW related work?

I'm guessing the numbers are roughly:

United States - 46%
Germany - 8%
France - 6%
United Kingdom - 5%
Canada - 5%

Of course, those numbers are a bit old and only refer to participation in the NI forums. India and China seem to have a lot of visible users.

Sounds about right.  Canada is closer to 5.245%

Everyone knows that 18.927% of all statisics are "made up".

Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T

To quote Mark Twain, quoting Disraeli, "There are three kinds of lies; lies, damned lies and statistics"!  I thought though, that, with the sudden upsurge in LabVIEW use in Newfoundland, that the numbers were closer to 5.457% in the Great White North!

So you know about our buddies in Newfoundland.  I keep forgetting to add them to any statistics..

Miss my travels over there on the rock!..  So I stand corrected.  5.457%  😄

The low Canadian numbers is possibly because we Canadians are busy coding instead of reading these boards.

Ummmm.... Except possibly me once in a while. Heh.

I wonder if we can get numbers from NI about volumes of items sold. Might be interesting.

I don't know if NI will actually release any such numbers.

They probably do not want to make it easy for any competitors to get such data easily.

I will have to probably base my list on
1.  the number of posts in a particular language on these discussion forums
2.  the number of alliance members in these countries
3.  the number of NI sales offices in these countries
4.  the number of certified labview developers/architects in these countries.

None of the above methods are perfect, but they will all give me a general idea of what's going on.

S G,

Your method is probably reasonable.  However, tst's post is also rather accurate.  It was discussed at one time somewhere, and those numbers did look familiar.  I think there was a contest at who knew most about Labview history..  I'd have to check Breakpoint... But those numbers were from someone at NI!

I'll look for it.
