Time Zone

Hello all,
I am accessing the NI Discussion Forum form Japan.  I know that the thread post-time are all shown in local time once I logged in.  But the posting-time is always 1-hour different than the correct time.

The following is a test case.

actual post time    - 07-12-2007 10:58AM (GMT+09:00)
(This time point is exactly 07-11-2007 01:58AM (@GMT),
or 07-11-2007 02:58AM (@London, due to daylight saving))

In this case:
Discussion Forums shows - 07-12-2007 11:58AM when logged IN
Discussion Forums shows - 07-11-2007 08:58PM when logged OUT

I believe time stamp is shown in Austin's local time if logged OUT.  But it is likely daylight saving applied.  (For example, Austin and Tokyo are 15hr different in winter, but changes to 14hr different in summer.)

I don't know why the time stamp is 1hr different than the correct time. Japan is GMT+09:00 region even if in summer, not +10:00.  Likely, I wonder if Japan's local time is "mistakenly" adjusted by daylight saving??? But Japan does not apply any daylight saving rule.

You might wish to post to the feedback board.

Also, there is a checkbox in your preferences to work with DST. You should try unchecking it.

Personally, if something like this happens, I would just go an change the time zone so that I'm seeing the times correctly.

Thanks.  Disabling the daylight saving could fix the problem.
