LabVIEW - in the Toilet? Another side discussion.

Just looked at the nice graphic poster that came with my LabVIEW 2011 SP1 media.

The text is:

"You live in a graphical world.

Why not program in one?"

the graphics show female and male iconic signage next to doors.

Spoiler
I do check my post responses by mobile during my morning "absolutions" and find it ironic.

Someone needs to (as a former sailor would put it- with pun intended) clear their head!

Perhaps there is a sub-liminal here that we should code while on a 'break'.

No 'down' time here.

Well there are VIs for flushing serial buffers. Though in your case it might be cereal buffers that need flushing.

well, the feedback from my co-workers is overwhelming.

"Where did you get that poster?"- (I got it out of my 2011 media)

"Why should you program with LabVIEW in the Water Closet?" -(IDK)

Why should LabVIEW programmers be placed in seperate areas based on gender to "Program some $h!t"?(- Again, I don't know! Source control should be gender neuteral)

I hope the intern that came up with the graphics has been "corrected"

I don't know who was involved in making that poster, but to play devil's advocate...the posters are on the walls at NI only above the water fountains in between the restrooms.  In that specific location, they actually make sense, and the first time I saw one, I thought it was rather clever.

But outside of that context?  Yeah, I can see how it might make your eyes swirl with confusion...
