Converting Mouse postion to XY coordinates on graph

In this thread

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=190426&a#M190426

the Graph Master (aka CC) teaches how to easily convert mouse coordinates to XY position on the graph.

Very cool trick!

Conditonal reads of controls and re-using the callers buffer in a sub-VI

In this thread

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=191868&jump=true

We discuss differences in performance of sub-VI's based on where the terminals are located on the diagram of a sub-VI, conditional reads etc.

To help clear up our questions Greg McKaskle "lifted the hood" and let us know how we can help LV re-use the buffers of the caller when data is passed to a sub-VI.

LV GOOP is now LabVOOP as of LV 8.2

This thread has a white paper talking about some of the thoughts that went in the current manifestation of OO in LabVIEW.

Re: LV GOOP is now LabVOOP as of LV 8.2

Here's one I found (again) recently which I haven't seen anywhere else:

http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=152190

Dynamik explains how to use the control editor to edit the cosmetics of one instance of a non-strict type def, without editing the type def file itself.

Boolean colors explained!

In this thread

Jeff Peters of R&D explains all of the elements of the boolean's color properties and confirms once and fora all, that there really is a reason to have so many colors.

DAQmx base will not always assign the same device ID's

DAQmx base will not always assign the same device ID's. See update in this thread.

This is NOT a bug but is the nature of the beast.

NI looking for help to fix slow LV 8.2

Since these two threads will drop of the list in short order, I'm posting links to these threads so we can find them when we need them.
