Interesting Stuff

Well leave it to our Grand Wizard to figure out a work-around and to not make a big deal about it!

Christian figured out that for a chart you can go to "advanced" and deselect "Auto Adjust Scales".

When this option is NOT selected, the drawing area of the chart will NOT re-size when the size required for the scale cahnges!

Both CC and I (wee at least me) fought with this bug last year and never noticed this option.

Question:

Now that we have a good way of sharing bugs, how should we go about sharing the work-arounds?

Nice post Christian!

Here's a link to a post about a project that indexes useful VIs available online. It seems to be somewhat different from the Find All VIs project in that it usually links to the files. At the very least, the effort deserves 5 stars.

In this thread Christina warns us that the "Save As > Duplicate Hierachy" in LV 8 will save the original copy before saving the duplicate.

So think about what you are doing before you open pre-LV8 code without making a backup first.

One of the legends of the Developer Exchange answers a question about multithreading and VI server.

This shows that begging does work!

And in the same thread (reply 168) Kevin Price mentions a technique he has mentioned previously, but which I keep forgetting, of properly allocating memory in RT (and only RT) by using Reshape Array instead of Initialize Array.
