Clark and Park Transformation

Can someone explain to me how Clark and Park Transformation relates to AC quantities like real power, reactive power, etc, and what are the advantages?  I did some google on the topic, but I would like to dig deeper.  Thanks!

actually the three phase taken from the load and we are converting to dc...in fact we dont know which of the phase is un balanaced in the three phase system....so the clarks and park transforms analyse the healthy and th eweak portions and according to the output the PWM pulse is generated and fed to the inverter section...which means again dc is converted to thrree phase ac such that the pulse produced is thatin weak portions phase more pulse is generated and hece [more power is injected towards the transmission lines thrrough the transformer...and hence the power factor compensation is obtainned
