hi!

Currently I am doing a project related to measurement of ECG. Based on this link http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6349 I found that when we want to extract R peaks and RR interval we have to use first the Multiresolution Analysis Express VI to decompose the ECG . What actually this VI do? How the multiresolution being apply to the system?

Hi Anes,

Please look at this link which explains in further detail wavelet-based peak detection. The multiresolution analysis express VI operates on this principle and is useful for detecting peaks and dips in noisy signals. As itoperates at multiple resolution levels it can pick out both long-term trends and short-term variations. Hope this helps.

The link you gave me really helpful. By da way how I want to read ECG file to test my VI? any Idea? I planned to read from  the MIT-BIH ECG data. And also if I have an ECG sensor, how I want to acquire data from that thing.

I have read this link several time, but  I still cannot see how the connection to acquire ECG signal from the sensor. I had one ECG Sensor  from Vernier. Can you gave me any sample VI to perform the acquisition. Pleezzz...

Hi,

The application has a config dialog to set up your DAQ instrument. You can connect your sensor's output terminal to a NI DAQ card's input terminal. Then it will work for you.

Where I can get the application that has a config dialog to set up the DAQ instrument. It is in the Biomedical Pallete. I need in detail because I am fresher in LABVIEW and Biomedical Field.

You needn't any other functions. HRV analysis application provides you whole settings. You can download the application attached in the HRV analysis application note and try it. If you have more detailed questions, you can turn to zhijun.gu@ni.com.
