X-NET NI 9866 Firmware update error

Hi,

I have a probem using my 9866 LIN Bus device. It says that I need to update the firmware, but when I try that I get a X-NET driver error. I have tried installing the latest X-NET driver version 15.5, but it does not help. If I open the device manager I get the message that the device is working properly. Any help would be appreciated.

/Jacob

Go to MAX to perform the update.

If that gives an error, please provide the error message, and as much information as you can.

What is MAX?

Measurement and Automation Explorer, basically NI's device manager, with several other features.  It is the first place you should go to to determine if hardware is installed correctly.  If it isn't seen by MAX, you won't be able to use it in LabVIEW.

It should be installed in your start menu, just search for MAX.

If you need more specific instructions, the XNET Hardware & Software manual overviews the process for upgrading C Series module firmware. As well as many other useful points of information!
