How do I use the CANdb kit extended version in reading J1939 related dbc?

I am developing a J1939 CAN application where I wanted to read from vector type *.dbc database. The CANdb kit is good for 2.0B and I do not know how to do when reading database of J1939 format.

Hi,

With NI-CAN 2.0 (or above) and MAX (Measurement and Automation explorer) you can import a CANdb database with extended ArbIDs.

If you look at the properties for a message with Extended ArbIDs, there is a button to interpret the Extended ID as a J1939 identifier.

Hope this helps.

The J1939 format is included in Channel API using driver 2.0 or older. If you want to use the J1939 format with the frame API you can download the J1939 Starterkit from :
