Does 9862 module works with Linux RT based chassis ?

Hi,

I'd like to use 9826 High-speed CAN module associated to a compactRIO.

I'd like to know if this module is compatible with newly released LinuxRT based cRIO? (lets' say 9030 for example).

If not, what 4-slots chassis could be advised ?

Thanks !

Well on the product page the 9826 mentioned the following.

  • In CompactRIO, use in NI cRIO-911x/908x/906x chassis with LabVIEW FPGA installed

Several of those are the newer LinuxRT systems but they are the 8 slot. The newer 9030 isn't listed, but I'd hope that just means the product page hasn't been updated.  Someone from NI will need to confirm this.

XNET 14.1 does not currently support the 9862 module in the cRIO-903x, cDAQ 9132, or the cDAQ-9134. However, support for these chassis will be included in an upcoming release of NI-XNET.

Hi Hoovah and Jeff,

Thanks for teh replies. This leads to two more questions :

1. When will be released the next version of NI-XNET driver ?

2. Does this mean that there isn't 4-slots cRIO supporting 9862 module ?

Thanks !

1) The date of releases is not publicly available.

2) The 9862 does work in the 9113, 4-slot chassis.
