I am working with the application software provided with the NI - CAN card.this software supports VB but i am working with VB.net hence facing  a problem related to declaration of variables."As Any" is not supported , please provide a optional data type.

Hi sweety,
 
have a look to the attached example. Perhaps you can find an answer for your problem. It shows the synchronization of CAN and DAQ and should use every datatyp needed for CAN communication.
