"helpasst.dll Reinstall myDAQ"

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everyone,

I am having some issues with Labview recognizing the myDAQ I am using.

I have used a myDAQ before on my laptop with zero issues, and when I tried connecting it again, my laptop would not install the drivers properly.

I then uninstalled all NI software, and reloaded them via the CD that comes with the myDAQ, which did allow proper installation of the myDAQ because it is visible under "device manager."

The issue that I am having now is when I open a VI, double click the DAQ ASSISTANT in order to change some of the properties, I get an error that reads "Helpasst.dll not found. Reinstall NI-myDAQmx."

I have followed some steps listed in the following forum:

I am unsure of what to do next.

Richard,

My first troubleshooting suggestion would be to reinstall the drivers for the myDAQ device, which are called DAQmx drivers. These should update file issues such as the missing DLL error you are experiencing. Below is the link to the download of the newest version.

Karl,

Thank you for replying to my issue.

I ended up doing a complete uninstall of Labview, installed the 2013 version, downloaded the most recent DAQmx drivers, and that got me going.

Thanks for your help!
