myDAQ recognized as USB flash firmware

Solved!
Go to solution

When I look in my Device Manager, my myDAQ is recognized as USB flash firmware, and it is also not recognized in any LabView instruments as it says "No Supported Devices." I've tried updating the driver for the USB, and I've also tried stopping and restarting the NI Device Loader in Services. Neither have worked.

What should I do?

If you ask for information please tell me the steps on how to get it.

Thank You

Emily

Hey ewunsch,

Can you post a MAX technical report.

Make sure you have the latest version of DAQmx installed.

Thanks!

Hey,

Can you go into device manage and try to update the driver for the myDAQ and manually point it at C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\niraptrkw.sys.

How do I do that?

Find the myDAQ in device manager.  Right click and choose update driver then click Browse my computer.. and select the path I posted above (it might be slightly different on your computer depending on your OS).

Let us know if that works.

Thanks!

Ok I found the right path, but it says the best driver software for your device is already installed.

If you right click on the myDAQ in device manager and choose properties then click the driver tab and driver details button it should give more info on the current driver.

Can you post a screen shot of that window.

Some other stuff you might want to try in the mean time:

Have you tried a different USB Port and Cable?

Have you tried connecting the myDAQ to another computer?

Make sure nothing else is connected to the myDAQ.

Thanks!
