Hi iffi444,

Thank you for posting in the discussion forums. Which specifications exactly are you looking to analyze in your system?

Hi iffi444,

Using the DAQ Assistant with myDAQ, you are able to create tasks to aquire different analog signals. These signals include voltage, temperature, current, resistance, and frequency (to name a few). You may be able to use some conversions to obtain power and power factor of your system, but you cannot directly acquire these values. Hope this helps!

Hello,

Power factor can be calculated by measuring the phase and amplitude relationship between the voltage and current in an AC system. myDAQ has two differential analog input channels, so you can use one for voltage and one for current (voltage across a shunt) -- enough for a single-phase configuration. Be aware that the input range on the myDAQ is +/- 10V, so you would need to use some sort of isolation mechanism if you were going to measure a higher voltage system.

Good luck,
