Operating Temperature Range

Solved!

Hello,

What is the operating temperature range for the myRIO?

Can it be used in sub-zero temperatures (-20C, 0C)? The plan is to use it to log temperatures in a cold laboratory to calculate heat loss.

I found the following specs in the user guide:

Environmental

To meet these specifications, you must operate the NI myRIO-1900 with the window facing away from the mounting surface and ensure that there is at least 1 in. of clearance in front of the window during use.

Ambient temperature near device (IEC 60068-2-1, IEC 600682-2).......................0 to 40 °C

Storage temperature (IEC 60068-2-1, IEC 600682-2).......................-20 to 70 °C

But what specifications will be affected by colder than 0deg C?

Thank you for the help!

Storage temperature is only when the device is powered down.

"These specifications" refers to the specifications document as a whole so if you want to run the myRIO at temperatures below 0C we cannot guarantee it will meet any I/O specifications outlined in the document.
