Error code 200077

Hi,

I am using USB-6008 and trying to generate a frequency sweep in labview (VI attached). I wish to generate the analog signal through the analog output ao0. For now I am trying to connect this signal to the oscilloscope. When I run the VI I get the error 200077.

Thanks for the help,

This error can be caused by several things, including poor selection by the limits in "Output signal range" in its "DAQ Assistant". I detail the code and notice that you are setting the "DAQ Assistant" with a range of 0 to 5, but its entrance is a sign that has a range of -1 to 1, so you must modify its output range or put an offset in the input signal.

In this case, the cause of the error is pretty clear and a search for "200077" would have shown the answer. Your 6008 has only software timed analog output and you simply cannot specify continuous samples for generation mode. The only thing you can select is One Sample (On Demand) and you cannot wire a sine wave to the DAQ Assistant. You must extract the sine wave signal point by point. The max frequency is about 150 S/sec and that will be subject to jitter because of the software timing.
