Barometric Pressure Sensor

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has used a barometric pressure sensor with myRIO board. If yes can you suggest any good accuracy sensor?

What about this? http://www.embeddedadventures.com/barometric_pressure_sensor_module_mod-1009.html

Will it function properly with myRIO?

Thank you,

Christos

Hey Christos,

Looking at the sensor you linked, that should work just fine with the myRIO. It uses the I2C/SPI protocols to transmit its readings to a controller, and the myRIO has dedicated pins for I2C/SPI communication. Therefore, you should have no problems pulling pressure measurements from the sensor.

The myRIO also has a 3.3V output pin for powering external sensors, so you should be able to power the sensor directly from the myRIO as well.

I hope this helps!

Ryan
