It sounds like you are getting a communication error with your myDAQ device. Can you give us some more information about what the circumstances are around when this error occurs? Also, I'd be curious to see if you can see your myDAQ in Measurment and Automation Explorer. Does it appear under Devices and Interfaces? If so, can you self test the device? One thing you may want to consider doing is restoring your device. The steps to do this can be found at this link regarding reseting USB DAQ devices.
