Can I control Relay bank (customised) with DIO PCI card? if not, what else can i do?

Hi PriyankaJ,

You can use a DIO PCI card to control a custom relay bank.  Relays controlled in this manner would likely be toggled open/closed via the digital states of the DIO card.

As an alternative, you can also use a relay driver module.  The NI PXI-2567 and the NI SCXI-1167 provide control for up to 64 external relays.  The benefits to using a relay driver module are the following:

  • High-power protection circuitry
  • IVI-compliant NI-SWITCH driver software (compatible with NI Switch Executive)
  • Provides up to 50 VDC or 600 mA per channel with an external supply
  • Includes connector and backshell for signal connections
