"ctrl-c" never works on first attempt in LV 8-8.2 Hierarchy screen

In LV 7.1 and prior back as far as I can remember, I could...

1) Open hierarchy screen

2) tab to select tool

3) Click VI

4) ctrl-c (to copy to clip board)

5) ctrl-f (to find first occurence)

BUT NOW

the VI is not copied to the clip board!

I must select VI a second time and hit crtl-c again to copy the VI.

This is a nuisance, please fix!
