Difference between various GPIB/RS232 converters

What is the difference between the following part numbers (all GPIB-232CT-A converters)?

776900-01
776668-OP

Hello MGeorghe,
It looks like the only difference between the first two part numbers you listed is that the second part number includes driver software for DOS, while the other would ship with the current drivers.  I am unable to find information about the last part number you have listed.  I recommend for questions such as this that you contact our Technical Sales Force (using the contact information found at the top left of this site).  They would have more access to information about shipping kits.

Actually the 776899-01 ships with no drivers.  The GPIB-232CT-A User Manual includes a section on commands which can be used to control the device over the serial port.  This allows the unit to be controlled from any device with a RS-232 port, eliminating the dependency on driver software.

The 776900-01 includes DOS/Windows drivers, which will allow it to look like a standard NI GPIB interface on older Windows platforms.  The GPIB Driver Versions page will elaborate on which versions of Windows have driver support for this device.
