I dream of growing up to become a Labview Forum Veteran one day

Hi!

How many brownie points do I need to chalk up before promoting from a member?

I'm not sure about crossing from member to regular, but you can see the explanation for the title here.
You can see a list of the top posters by going to the thread floated to the top of the board. The LIST starts from 50 posts, but CC does not scan the NI server for new users every week, so it may be a few weeks before you make it in there. You can inform him you crossed the barrier if you really want to get in there.

So any day now we can expect to see tst promoted to the dizzy heights of "Enthusiastic", complete with the coveted solid bar of gold. (Well, yellow, actually.) Shame I 'only' use LabWindows; seems like you LabView people have a lot more fun than us lowly code jockeys.Smiley Wink

Hi Jr_2005

I started too with C/C++ coding. I started Labview 2 years ago and have not look back since. I think the principals are still the same. I think its a nice complement to be able to know both Labview and Labwindows. I must say however, its more fun looking at nodes racing with one another when you are stepping a VI. Perhaps its time to convert to the 'dark side'.

Smiley Very Happy

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.

Been doing pretty good. NIWeek was good as usual.

Been so busy lately that I haven't been able to spend much time here, but I still manage to get a post in a few times a week.

U??

Actually, I started programming instrument applications with something called ATLAS on minicomputers from TI (showing my age), then basic on the early pc's (anybody remember the old Commodore PET ?), then C, and then LabWindows/DOS version 1. Next, I think I used VB as soon as that was released for my first Windows app and soon after that got LabVIEW 3.0. And, I still use LabWindows.

Well well....

It appears that I am now both a regular and a proven regular at that. I am ashamed of my vanity. haha.
