NI Elvis II DAQ board

Iam writing a digital boolean array from labview to the DIOs in the Elvis....Now iam trying to check whether Iam recieving the signals at DIOs....

I tried connecting the LEDs to DIO of the Elvis board but the LEDS do not light up.....I even used the Measurement and automation explorer to the change the state of the Digital outputs using the Test Panels  and even with this I can not verify whether the signal is comming I tried connecting LEDs to it but still the leds not glow.. what should I do to check if Iam recieving the signal.
